Life Questions for this Month   For the year ahead
June/July 2006

We only publish or distribute books that have a meaty, transformative content.
We look for books that, in the words of Mahatma Gandhi, can change your life so that....

  • Your beliefs become your thoughts
  • Your thoughts become your words
  • Your words become your actions
  • Your actions become your habits
  • Your habits become your values
  • Your values become your destiny

Our authors are both inspiring and informative on their chosen topic. That can only be achieved if they were inspired to write in order to awaken to their destiny.
(for no other reason)

Each month we will pose Questions that are dealt with in the titles we publish or distribute

What is really hidden in the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion?

Taken from Is God Good? by David Ash

I was disturbed to find shocking parallels to the Protocols in the Bible and the ‘Talmud’ and a number of other documents I unearthed in my research.
T
his staggering document - The Protocols of Zion, the Bible, the Talmud and Christian history exemplify the dangers of religious cults. They highlight the terrible consequence of self-righteous groups of people viewing themselves as superior because they are more acceptable to God than others. Within all religions and cultures, cults germinate which have the potential to become fanatical and extremely dangerous.
I have great difficulty in shaking off my own religious programming in the Roman Catholic Church which has done more to discredit and destroy ‘truth, goodness and human decency’ than any single organisation in human history.

Accounting for evil has been one of the greatest philosophical challenges in human history. Some people stick their heads in the sand and try to pretend there is no evil. Others accept the traditional religious view that there was a rebellion in heaven and now there are evil spirits that have turned against God causing a battle between good and evil. My view on the matter is different...

Have these beliefs so influenced our thoughts, so that our corporate business world is a reflection of those collective thoughts?

taken from Icebergs in Africa by Julie Shaw

At the time I was working for the Exploration area of De Beers – the intrepid explorers in some fourteen diverse countries around the world; out under the rain and stars searching for diamonds (and, by the way, some of the best story-tellers I’ve ever come across). My role as ‘Relationship Builder’ was to look after HIV/AIDS; wellness; culture, climate, values; HR (Human Resources) communications, and HR image management (and the latter is not a task for the faint-hearted).

It was against the backdrop of stability that De Beers built the brand ‘A Diamond is Forever’, on beauty and on dreams. My question today is ‘what world of work are we creating’? Is it healthy or not, and what more can we do to polish and shine the potential of our people? Where have we come from, where are we now, and what are the unique opportunities and challenges we face from the perspectives of health, wellbeing, and achievement?

Read about the iceberg formula in Africa's business world and what happens if this revolutionary wellness program is applied.

Have those thoughts on a global scale, also been responsible for the words we use in our daily relationships with eachother?

Taken from Soulful Love - The Search for the Self - Deri Joy Ronis Ph.D.

I recall the first time I read that “life is difficult.” It didn’t sit well with me at all. And how could it, when I had programmed myself to believe that life is a wonderful journey.
I have heard that “obstacles” are nothing more than opportunities in disguise. While it has been said that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, eventually we get to the place where we have to take responsibility for our actions, thoughts and what we truly want. When we lie to ourselves and we live in the lie, our relationships become a reflection of this dishonesty.
Not knowing how to communicate about the real issues causes so many problems...or...

Many are terrified to verbalize what they feel for fear of abandonment by the other party. Thus, the person who doesn’t express feelings may throw or break things, scream, be physically violent, and verbally abuse the other. They may also become emotionally abusive via lying and deceiving...

Have these actions we have taken become the habits others recognize in us?

Taken from: Healing Habits - by Ann Gadd

Great spiritual traditions in every age offer many vehicles for awakening. These include body disciplines, prayer, meditation, selfless service, ceremonial and devotional practices, and even certain forms of modern therapy. All of these are used as a means to ripen us, to bring us face to face with our life, and to help us see a new way by developing a stillness of mind and strength of heart.

Reading about our human habits or behaviour patterns, no matter how insignificant - laughable or shocking, is not only entertaining but it can become an absolute eye opener!

What we look for in a manuscript

We look for manuscripts or books that are both original, unique, well written and offer an insight to the reader that can enrich their lives. We look for ways to contribute to humanity's information that we all in our heart's 'already know', but it must be lived and experienced in order to make it a reality.
We look for authors who in their daily life reflect their work; who have become authors not to become famous, rich or important, but because they have something vital to share that can make a difference to others.
