Magdel Shackleton's son Michael phoned us with the sad news that his mother had passed away as Nadine and I were on our way to go up Table Mountain in the cable car in celebration of Nadine's birthday on Friday the 18th

Last year at the time of the launch of her new book Spiritual Schizophrenia, Nadine and Magdel discussed their birthdays at a private dinner at Magdel's home in Johannesburg. To hear about this sad news on Nadine's birthday was quite a shock.

With fond memories but in great sadness we held a private goodbye meditation on the top of Table mountain. We knew that Magdel loved Cape Town, especially the beach near Camps Bay, where she and Michael lived for years.

Magdel showed us what being a free spirit is really like. Magdel was a person with great convictions, she had a big heart (but not a strong one) combined with incredible intuitive and psychic abilities. She was a powerful woman who spoke her mind.

I was very proud to publish her first book Georgina and her Guardian Angels in 2000. It was Kima Global's first children's book that clearly reflected that Madgel was psychic from birth.

Magdel gained her Doctorate in Nuclear Physics from the University of Stellenbosch and subsequently become a Physicist at the National Accelerator Centre, Faure. Later she became the Head of Department of Medical Physics at Groote Schuur hospital and the University of Cape Town.
She left the academic field in 1997 to devote her time to Energy Medicine and Business (Effective Spiritual Leadership) courses, fulfilling the whole self needs at work and home.
Her focus was on empowering others through understanding the interconnectedness between physics, medicine and spirituality.
Her work has taken her to various African Countries and to the USA. She regularly contributed to national and international conferences and spoke at many prestigious events nationwide.
When she moved with her son Michael from Cape Town to Johannesburg in 2005, we hoped it was only for a few years.

We know that Magdel offered many channeled guidance sessions for those who needed them. She was well known in South Africa and appeared on national TV as a scientist turned mystic.

Magdel, both Nadine and I will hold you in our thoughts - always.

Robin and Nadine

P.S Magdel's funeral was held on Wednesday 23rd May 2007 in Johannesburg

Her shift

We both know that Magdel has shifted from one realm of consciousness to a non physical one by choice, but it was a shock to us nevertheless. If she knew that she was not long for this world last year in October, she would have said so to us, but she never did. Since most of us are not in the habit of acknowledging such a shift while we are still in the physical world, purely because we are not 'awake enough' in our time zone consciousness, or we might have an intuitive knowing but are too unsure or sad to prepare others for the transition. Death seems to appear suddenly and is emotionally experienced as a shock (due to an energy cord being broken) when someone has suddenly gone out of our physical lives. We therefore hope to learn how to keep this lifeline intact, while we experience being in different realms. We hope that Magdel will help us in achieving that.
In the mean time we will publish books that awaken us all from this illusionary world we created ourselves.
