An unwavering gaze at life's travails and it's triumphs
When I was given this book as a present, little was I prepared for the surprise package behind the title. To write about an inner journey as a Hunting with the Heart experience inspired me by realising that a life journey is not solely in the outer world. It's our inner world where our dreams relay to us our inner journeys that's equally important. Graham Saayman writes uncompromisingly of his experiences and the confrontation with unconscious forces that take him to the very verge of life. Hunting with the Heart brings a reader close to what life's meanings are all about; the courage to receive the grave dictates of life. This is a remarkable autobiography well written.

Humanity is in bondage
When I heard that Stress Slaves was written by a lady who lives in Zimbawe, I was curious. Knowing that our present is determined by our past, I had to read this since I'm already well aware that we are not born into stress slavery. The book is a treat. If you've forgotten how to laugh, Pamina's humour jumps at you through the pages when she shares what life is like in ZIMBABWE - a country in crisis. I learned that if your expectations are unrealistic, this book will show you what impact stress can have on your life. If we become divorced from our instinctive nature and instead focus on our problems, our personal boundaries can become blurred, and we will sabotage any and all relationships. This book has the tools to free ourself from ourselves. Thank you Pamina for a job well done.

Privacy, what is that?
From the first page of the first chapter, I got into the story of The Awakening Clan and never wanted to stop reading about Ingrid's life as a telepath. The movie 6th Sense did not even come close to Ingrid's adventures. Throughout the novel a plot unravels that keeps you spellbound. Her inner turmoil when she is confronted by the fact that she can hear what others are thinking brings a whole new meaning to the word privacy. For the first time I started to grasp the understanding behind the meanings of individual souls, Soul mates, twin souls, group souls and over souls. What a powerfull tool Nadine has used to bring to life a spiritual dimension that feels just as real as our physical world. I can't wait to read the next in the series, Richard's journey. What a great read.

Copycat?
Purely by chance did I receive Duck Soup for the Soul from a friend, who remembered that I read the chicken soup for the soul books. She mistook it for the latest new edition. I must say that I laughed aloud and isn't that what we all need in these trying times? It is very refreshingly written and as someone said "Fairies fly because they take themselves so lightly." This is also a book that you can easily give to all your New Age Phobic friends. If we can laugh at ourselves, they can too! This book makes an excellent holiday read, easy to get into and inexpensive to buy.

The title Herbs jumped at me at the Cape Town book fair
I was visiting the Cape Town International Book Fair, when I stopped at the Kima Global Publishers stand and this book “fell off the shelf” at me. I have had a life-long fascination with the healing powers of plants and this is the most comprehensive book I have found on the subject. It is authoritative and comprehensive, basically everything you could want to know, yet laid out in an easily accessible style.

Are aliens amongst us?
I'm a reader of UFO stories, so this book The Allies of Humanity - An Urgent Message drew my attention. At first I was surprised at the idea that Humanity's prospects for successfully engaging with an alien presence is nothing less than a radical re-orientation of our spiritual consciousness. Contact with an alien race has begun, but it is Contact that is happening behind the scenes. Governments are keeping their secrets while the public remains unaware and unprepared. The warning of our Allies is: that we have become a product of the expectations of society, our ego and that we have lost contact with the deeper thread and meaning of our lives. The urgent message is that an intervention is engaged in a coordinated set of activities to influence human perception and to take advantage of human ignorance, conflict and superstition in order to to gain dominance in our world without the use of force. The Briefings reveal why this is taking place at this time and why humanity is in such a vulnerable position. The Allies’ message to humanity is a demonstration of what ethical Contact really is, but who is the messenger? A very thought provoking book. It led me to Marshall Vian Summers website where more information is to be found.

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who is looking in the mirror was my question one morning, after reading Rose Dugmor's book Human Predators. Her often direct approach to life's ups and downs, and how to address our inner voice, that is often just a whisper who, like Smeagle, the character in the movie Lord of the Rings, tries to remind us of our fears and misfortunes, how to learn to tell the difference by just listening to our inner knowing intuition. How to recognise the difference in energy our inner intuitive nature feels compared to the mental scatter many of us are so familiar with. How to overcome it and be free...

Our inner symbology
I came to this workbook through the recommendation of a friend and it has become a firm favourite. The author's approach is unique and I confess to initial doubts that plain doodling would offer the answers to life, but soon learned that this form of unstructured drawing leads to clear insights into life's issues. One's inner obstacles seem to magically reduce or disappear! So in the end The Language of Light art therapy book is highly recommended. I keep going back to it.
